Ringing in the new year with some new work. Hello 2015.

Work continues for an upcoming show, W.A.M., in Bossier City.
W.A.M. (Wine, Art, Music) is a night of gourmet food, wine pairings, art and music on February 5, from 5:30-7:30.
I will have several new peices. The one pictured above is inspired from an impromptu family reunion that occurred on my husband's side of the family last August.
I will be posting progression photos soon.
Hanging Clothes found a new home this summer. Doesn't it look amazing in the home of Kelly Moore, of Kelly Moore Bags?? I don't look too bad myself, with a new bag on my shoulder.... I love it so, and can't leave the house with out it.
The summer has bid me adieu. It was full of late nights and sweaty afternoons. I have loved having my children around me and we kept each other entertained with Lego parties at the kitchen table, dance parties in the living room, laundry parties (also in the living room). Lots of parties.
I had a commission over the summer, 48" x 30" (pictured above) and now I am working on a solo exhibit scheduled for February 2015 in Shreveport, LA. Stay tuned.

The opening reception at Gallery Fine Art Center was a great success and was thrilling to see so many people come out. You still have time to get out and see it if you are close. Show ends April 25th.

I have started the year out by working larger than I was at the end of last year. 1150% larger actually. (My scientist husband help me do the math. No he didn't, he did the math for me.)
Here is one I have been working on since the big ball dropped:
I had the opportunity to go to an art reception in California just a few days before Christmas. I flew out of the nearest big city to me which is four hours away. This in-studio painting is of my long drive home.
