some fresh air

OOooo. I can think of very many things that are worse than a stale blog, and having reckoned with almost all of them since my last post, I decided it was time for some freshening up. It's about time that hideous picture of me shopping isn't the first thing you see...

I went to Moab last weekend for a family vacation and did this little watercolor sketch while my daughter was on a hike and fell into the cactus beds there.

  1. Hey Julie, So I've been thinking of you. I have a subscription to your blog which is probably why I'm always the first to comment. I miss you! We need to hang out a few times before you guys move away. :( Can you believe that our hubbys are almost done with school?!?!? I am SO excited to be done!!

What a good idea to do watercolor sketches in your sketch book. Is this watercolor paper, or just a regular sketchbook? Oooh! Moab! Sounds FABULOUS with all this cold weather we've been having. Falling into cactus is quite an adventure!

  2. Thanks Shawna. The little sketch book is one I have simply FALLEN in LOVE with, unfortunately I have no idea what brand it is. I will post a pic of it in my blog. I got it at Barnes and Noble and it comes in various sizes. And it is just regular sketch paper...manilla colored (which I think makes a nice undertone).
